Volunteering at Deep Run High School makes a valuable contribution to the school and community. Parent involvement also sends the message to your children that you care about making their education a positive experience.

Volunteer Opportunities at DRHS for the 2009-2010 year

To Volunteer at DRHS, please follow the instructions on the back of the Volunteer Opportunities sheet to sign up. After signing up, you will receive an e-mail, click the link in the e-mail to complete the sign up process. Once completed, click on the nlist tab to select the Volunteer Opportunity sites that you are interested in participating in. Invites to different opportunities to volunteer will be made through out the year. Make sure you have submitted your e-mail address to receive all of the DRHS PTSA publications including notices for volunteers.

Required Volunteer Forms and Safety Orientation

Deep Run High School greatly appreciates the contributions of parent volunteers, who work in the bookstore, the office, the clinic, and many other areas, including those who help with short-term projects and special events. Before working in the school, ALL parent volunteers must complete a Henrico County Public Schools Application for Volunteer Service and a Deep Run High School Confidentiality Agreement. These two forms must be submitted annually.

In addition to submitting the forms above, parents who work as long-term volunteers (in the school office, clinic, bookstore, or guidance) are required to participate in a brief orientation related to safety. The training will require less than 30 minutes; is required for long-term volunteers only; and does NOT have to be repeated yearly.

Prior to signing and submitting the form, please be sure to access and review the Henrico Volunteer Guidelines that accompany the form.
